| Bio: | Silly 25 year old chemist equestrian who graduated Vanderbilt '05 and now at Penn State for a doctorate in chemistry. Loves nerds, ChemDraw, and an inverted microscope equipped with a 60x oil immersion lens. A few weird facts about me: -I like the smell of gasoline. -My fingers and toes are double-jointed. -I have perfect pitch. Wikipedia reports that this is found in only 1 in 10,000 people. -My eyes are so light blue that they're almost colorless. As a result, I'm kind of photosensitive. -Hence, people ask me all the time if I wear contacts (I don't). -I can do a handstand against a wall. -My favorite flowers are stargazer lilies. -I speak good French, semigood Russian and Japanese, and not-so-fluent colloquial Slovak. -I have never gotten an ice-cream headache. If you people slowed down and savored the ice cream, maybe you wouldn't get them, either. -Internet Flash movies are one of my primary time-wasters. -One day, I would love to be a wine connoisseur. -My favorite kind of juice is unsweetened white grapefruit juice. -I am an incorrigible early riser. -I love nerdy boys. Nerds are the way to go. -I am fiercely loyal to driving stickshift cars. If it ain't got a manual transmission, I don't want to drive it. -If you call me Kristin and you're a Vandy or Penn State person, I will think you're mad at me, because pretty much no one at Vandy or PSU calls me Kristin. It's Quis. Plain and simple. -My eyebrows have always been and will remain untouched by tweezers. -When I was a little kid, I rode horseback western and bareback. In college, at the behest of my roommate and fellow chemgal, I started to ride hunter/jumper. In 2 years of riding, I've managed to jack the jumps up to 2'6" and still stay on. -I still rock a 3 year old iRiver iHP-120 20 GB mp3 player, because iPods are for sheep. Hopefully it will see me through grad school. -I am a faithful blood donor, type O positive. I give every 8 weeks. I have given 10 times so far. ...More to come.... | |
